Whistleblower Actions

In many countries, there is a recognition that a person with knowledge of a wrongdoing can report such wrongdoing without the fear of being fired or otherwise being adversely impacted due to acting in good faith and in compliance with the law.

 

Within the legal limits, a person who wishes to use a “whistleblowing remedy” could discuss the matter with the relevant parties, and if allowed, also make a submission to DataLimits of relevant information and supporting evidence, on an anonymous basis.

 

Whistleblowing may be the key to acquiring, in a legal and ethical way, insider information on illegal data processing operations or inadequate data security procedures, including reporting of data breaches within the legally mandated notification period.
